Starting the ball rolling…

OK, here’s my contribution to this special ornament FAL weekend 🙂 I finished up the 4th, 5th and 6th blocks of my PS 12 Days of Christmas wreath – halfway there now!

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s ornament finishes this month and don’t forget – if you post a photo of your finishes on this blog, your name will go into the draw to win some great finishing supplies – bonus! 😀

Seen around blogland

I’ve seen a couple of finishes on blogs where the stitchers have used the class tutorials available here, so I thought I’d share:

Goldie’s cute bourse (class instructions here)

Annie’s tie-on pillow (class instructions here)

If you’ve seen any finishes (or done one of your own) using any of the class tutorials on the blog, please feel free to post them here so we can all admire them 🙂

Squeezed another one in!

I finished the stitching on Erica Michael’s Designs Random Thoughts of Spring yesterday morning and decided I might as well get the finishing done too! Nothing like striking whilst the iron’s hot 😉 I made it up into a little pillow yesterday afternoon, but the ribbon and button were added today – I didn’t have any suitable ribbon in my stash so I had to pop to Hobbycraft this morning, as they were obviously closed yesterday:

It’s stitched on 32ct Kowhai Lugana from Countrystitch with OWS Greenpeace – the fabric is a much brighter yellow IRL but it was quite shady in this part of the garden this morning and this was the best pic that I could get 🙂

April FAL weekend – KarenV

I finished up this cute design by Ewe and Eye and Friends into a pinkeep for the FAL this weekend 🙂 It’s called Brown Bunny; I totally copied Su and Paola with the colour scheme of the design, using Crescent Colours Toasted Marshmallow and a brown DMC on a piece of 36ct Cocoa linen from Silkweaver. The back fabric is white with a pale pink pattern, which matches the thread really well.

Oh and in case anyone’s wondering, I left the B (the designer’s initial) next to the brown bunny deliberately, rather than subbing my own initial, because I originally thought it stood for Bunny 🙂
